On December 8, 2023, the signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation agreement between Everest Securities Joint Stock Company (EVS Securities) and Sealand Securities Co., Ltd. China was successfully held in Nanning, China. Attending the signing ceremony from EVS Securities were Mr. Nguyen Hai Chau - Chairman of the Board, Mr. Pham Hong Minh - Board Member cum CEO, and Mr. Le Minh Khue - Deputy CEO. Representing Sealand Securities were Ms. Ha Xuan Mai - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board, Mr. Dam Chi Hoa - Deputy CEO, and a representative from the leadership of China Construction Bank in Guangxi.

Mr. Pham Hong Minh - CEO of EVS and Mr. Dam Chi Hoa - Deputy CEO, also the CFO of Sealand, signed the agreement.

Mr. Nguyen Hai Chau - Chairman of the Board of EVS, shared: "China and Vietnam are neighboring countries with favorable conditions in terms of geography and people to enhance cooperation and exchanges between the two countries' enterprises. It is hoped that in the future, EVS and Sealand will always be active partners in many different fields to create value for businesses and investors in both countries."

Regarding Sealand, Ms. Ha Xuan Mai - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board also stated: "Sealand is the fourth largest securities company in China, with a team of over 4,000 employees and more than 30 large branches operating nationwide. We highly value cooperation with financial institutions in ASEAN countries, including Vietnam. We hope that both sides will maximize their advantages to achieve mutually beneficial cooperation."

Prior to this, the two parties had several detailed working sessions and reached a consensus towards a Strategic Partnership aiming for rapid development in both breadth and depth. Leveraging the rich foundation of cooperation in the bilateral financial market, they also outlined specific and diverse steps in various fields.

Both sides discussed and exchanged views on promoting strategic cooperation together.

Becoming a strategic partner with Sealand, and subsequently with partners in other countries such as Singapore, Japan, etc., is in line with EVS's strategic business direction, expanding its scope of activities as well as its customer base, helping EVS increasingly affirm its brand in both domestic and international financial markets. This bilateral cooperation serves as a bridge for the extensive cooperation between financial institutions of Vietnam and China, as part of the activities commemorating the 15th anniversary of the establishment of comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries, and in response to the visit to Vietnam by General Secretary, President of China Xi Jinping from December 12-13, 2023.
