On March 25th, 2023, the EVS Volunteer Committee, together with the Youth Union of the State Securities Commission and various corporate entities, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Giang Pang leveling school point in Sung Do commune, Van Chan district, Yen province.

Here, representatives from the EVS Volunteer Committee along with EVS employees had the opportunity to converse and exchange with the teachers to gain a deeper understanding of their challenges and essential needs, as well as those of the students. Through direct interactions and learning about the current difficulties, the EVS Volunteer Committee recognized the urgency of building the school. Completing the new school will not only provide a better and safer learning environment for the students but also lay the foundation for fundamental changes in the entire area. With a proper school infrastructure, the children here will no longer hesitate on their journey to seek knowledge and a brighter future.

EVS, along with the Youth Union of the State Securities Commission and various corporate entities, aims to implement several projects including: constructing a new multipurpose classroom along with enclosed toilets for students; building a new communal dining room and kitchen for teachers and students; constructing a new utility room for 2 teachers with enclosed sanitation facilities and accompanying facilities (beds, cabinets, equipment...) as well as a water supply system, laundry area, etc. for the teachers. Additionally, constructing 2 new toilets for the children and ensuring a water supply.

Prior to this, the EVS Volunteer Committee, together with the Youth Union of the State Securities Commission, spent time directly assessing the current infrastructure at the Giang Pang leveling school point. After identifying it as the first volunteer project of 2023, the Volunteer Committee promptly established the "Step by Step to School" volunteer fund and called on all EVS employees to contribute. With the spirit of "Mutual Support" among EVS employees, within just 3 days, the fund received donations totaling 71 million VND, enabling timely collaboration with other corporate entities to commence phase 1 of the construction project for the Giang Pang leveling school point.
